Waitlist
Overview
Saks is implementing the waitlist feature for all marketplace items, allowing the customer to subscribe to be alerted when a desired item becomes available again. Availability is driven by a positive unit OH to be sent from the brand to Mirakl.
Customer Experience
The size and / or color variant that is no longer available with units OH will appear on the product detail page with a strike through the variant selection. The customer can select the variant they desire, input their email address, then click the “Notify Me” button.
Considerations
Waitlist Functionality
The strikeout experience shown above will remain on the product detail page for 50 days from the initial instance of 0 units on hand. If there is no inventory activity on that UPC for 50 consecutive days, the variant selection will fall off site, meaning the customer can no longer sign up for availability notifications.
If ALL of the variants are out of stock, then the product would not be reachable via the product array. A customer would only be able to waitlist it if they had the product bookmarked or wishlisted to navigate directly to the PDP. The PDP would be reachable this way for 50 days from the latest variant out of stock date.
Brand Functionality
Brands need to ensure that they are setting the Waitlistable attribute to ‘T’. This is defaulted within the MIrakl portal but would need to ensure they are passing the correct value through any other integration methods.
Brands should only set up sizes that are within the possibility of having units behind it. If there are sizes that have never been carried, brands should not send these size mappings to Mirakl, as they will show up in the size selections as a waitlist item.
