Product Template
Products are created by utilizing a Saks provided template, which is used to collect your product & offer attributes. Once populated, you will import this template into your store where the product approval & creation process will begin.
How To Obtain
To download your Saks marketplace product template, log into your back office, and go to My Inventory > Import from File. In the File templates section on the right, you can download your template in an Excel or CSV/XML file under the Products and offers heading.
On the next screen:
- Under Select a file template to download, select Products & Offers
- Under Select the requirement level of attributes, select All
- Under Select the categories, choose the categories you are listing in
- At the bottom of the page, click Generate template
ℹ️ It is recommended that you download your template as the Excel file, which allows you to select multiple categories to use at once. In addition, the category column shows as descriptive text, selectable from a drop-down list in your template.
If you use the CSV/XML format, you will only be able to download a template for a single category at a time, and the category column will use 'category codes' instead of descriptive text, which are long strings of numbers that don't clearly indicate what the category is (our system can identify it though). You can combine each downloaded template into a single file so it is easier to work with if desired.
